- who you are as an individual in the digital age and what characterizes your journey so far?
- I do not see digital age being defined in numeric number of lived years, but more in aspects of beliefs, values, attitudes and behavior regarding the use of digital technology, ie. digital natives and immigrants. I have always been fond of using technologies to make my work more efficient and evolved.
- you may think about your own digital literacy and identity in your personal and professional life, how are they linked?
- As explained by White and Le Cornu (2011) digital literacy involves so many more aspects and concepts than stroking on a keyboard, and more towards the ability to engage, create and evaluate. I very much believe what I do on a personal level reflects my use of digital literacy on the professional level. The aspects which can differ are that on a personal level I get to choose what tools i want to use, however when working I use the tools given to me.
- what this course might mean for your development?
- The course is on an early stage, therefore a bit to early to answer the question. One aspect I am very fond of is to follow students on a weekly basis through the use of modules. This increases my compliance and concordance with the students and their learning skills.
- Further I found it very interesting using web-site (wordpress), which I never done before. I think this is a great idea to use for future student getting into a more resident-mode of the digital age (White, 2014), and for further develop courses into a digital environment. However, I dont know if its possible, and how much work this would imply as a teacher.
- your experiences from this course so far.
- I think it is very interesting, and especially necessary, when developing or evolving future courses or learning activities. Furthermore, I look forward collaborating with other students in course.
- Sometimes I feel the course being a bit too abstract, not knowing what should be focused on this week, as a lot of different aspects are taking place.
- other reflections on module 1 readings and discussions.
- Nothing else.
