We aim to inform and engage our readers on how global economic and political structures shape digital labour and technology, uncovering the shadows of tech and modern slavery.<\/p>\n<p>Our central themes are:<br \/>\n\ud83e\udd16 How AI and platform capitalism perpetuate gender inequalities.<br \/>\n\ud83e\udd16 The systemic disparities inherent in digital products and services.<br \/>\n\ud83e\udd16 The critical importance of international regulation in overseeing digital platforms and innovations.<\/p>\n<p>We are a multidisciplinary team of passionate academics from a variety of professional backgrounds sharing our perspectives on digital technology in the global political economy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Andrei\u00a0<\/strong>is a writer and former architect who is currently studying Communication for Development at Malm\u00f6 University. He volunteered for a year in organizing and facilitating non-formal education projects for young people, tackling civic and political topics. He collaborates with Cenaclul X, a queer literary collective based in Romania, and pursues an artistic practice that highlights structural inequalities through literary devices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Anisa\u00a0<\/strong>holds a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Communication Management, with a focus on food, fashion and sustainability. She currently works as a social media manager for a company that promotes sustainable travel. She is originally Romanian but she is based in Milan, Italy from where she is pursuing a Master\u2019s in Communication for Development. Her research interests lie in exploring the complex intersections of gender dynamics and their broader implications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Daniel\u00a0<\/strong>holds a Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Scandinavian Studies. He is a Budapest-based local politician with five years of experience in elected offices. In his work he is focusing on social issues: he is the head of a local initiative battling domestic abuse; and he spearheaded the effort to write his party&#8217;s LGBTQ+ manifesto. His research interests cover international oversight on digital products, such as social media platforms and AI.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Elia<\/strong>\u00a0has an academic background in audiovisual production and communication. Currently volunteering in humanitarian aid as communication coordinator, he&#8217;s an aspiring documentalist who believes in the power of visuals and sound to drive change. Whether through film or writing, he\u2019s driven by a desire to amplify voices that often go unheard and challenge the status quo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Eva\u00a0<\/strong>is a Barcelona-based journalist with eight years of experience in aid and development. She spent her formative years at Reporters without Borders and the OSCE Mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina, as well as in electoral observation missions across the Balkans. Currently, she serves as the Head of International Communication at a Spanish development NGO, covering gender, climate change, and education-related projects in India and Nepal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pree\u00a0<\/strong>holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Dental Science and is currently pursuing a Master\u2019s in Communication for Development in Sweden. She has a multidisciplinary background in global health, teaching, and dentistry. She is passionate about health communication, equity, intersectionality, and women\u2019s rights. Originally from India, Preetha aims to share insights and engage readers in creating a fair and inclusive society through her blogs.
