How will artificial intelligence transform the field of health?

Hi there, I am intereted in devlopment of artificial intelligence, AI, in a way which is both trustworthy and human-centric. As a full-stack developer, I have worked in digitalizing healthcare in a Swedish start-up company. I have realized that the potential of AI for application in the field of medicine is extremely high.

AI can help drug manufacturing processes so that appropriate treatments for new and old diseases can be provided more quickly. This system can even help identify previously unknown diseases. It will help doctors act faster to treat serious diseases. It provides fast and accurate diagnosis which is practically impossible using only human intelligence. Errors made as a result of human fatigue will limit.

Using the individual human genome to create highly personalized treatment plans in healthcare means planning and delivering the drugs and rehabilitation services that best match your genetics. But the important thing is that AI is not intended to replace doctors in healthcare. Rather, artificial intelligence is actually presented to increase the abilities of medical professionals . In addition, although AI technology can have many benefits for the healthcare industry, finding a way to integrate engineering and natural science, with social science to develop responsible AI in medicine can always be a big challenge.

AI does what humans do in a more complex way, but more efficiently, faster and at a lower cost. The potential of artificial intelligence and robotics in healthcare is huge. So, follow me on my journey together with my fellow bloggers when it comes to responsible AI from principles to actual practice. I will write posts about how AI is reshaping healthcare in the Global South and I hope you will continue the discussion by sharing your own thoughts as well!
