Hi there, let me present myself, I\u2019m Sara A., probably one of the least \u201ctechy\u201d writers on this blog.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m a social anthropologist and have worked broadly with different aspects of innovation and design in big corporations, doing my best to represent the \u201chuman\u201d side in the otherwise very technology-centered innovation processes (although I know \u201ctechnology\u201d in some way has always been part of what is human, but we\u2019ll come to that later). With a growing interest in social equality work, combined with the consideration of myself as a somewhat \u201csocial media\/digital services skeptic\u201d, my role in this blog will be to dive deeper into the field of big data ethics and its implications for equality to try to unpack the grounds of my skeptical stance. One nagging thought of mine is for example if I\u2019m just in a privileged position to afford to be skeptical? Apart from my own posts, I will keep close attention to my fellow bloggers, not least my namesake <\/span>Sara B<\/span><\/a> who will focus on finding and analyzing positive attempts of using big data for development.
