The Photographic Image 1 & 2

The photographic Image 1 combines both practical and theoretical approaches to photography, providing a comprehensive understanding of its artistic and communicative potential. Through hands-on work and critical reflection, students develop technical skills as well as an analytical perspective on the photographic image. The course begins with an overview of the history, genres, and expressions of photography, establishing a theoretical and historical foundation. Students then engage in technical exercises, exploring digital photography, image processing, and studio lighting. Through practical assignments and critical discussions, different photographic genres and their communicative possibilities are examined. The course concludes with an independent photographic project in which students apply their acquired skills in a personal artistic expression, presenting their work both in written and visual form, including a small exhibition.
